LVT-(A) 1 "Alligator" WWII saw a number of innovative new solutions to meet the demands of modern combat. One such class of military vehicle was the amphibious tractor, often referred to by US servicemen as amtracs. “This is not a game” by artist Lorenzo Quinn is a large-scale sculptural installation of giant hands playing with a life-sized tank and toy soldiers. Exhibited on a floating platform at the 2011 Venice Bienalle, the installation featured a 37-ton Russian T-55 tank.
