M48A2 Patton Tank First entering service in the 1950s, the M48 Patton battle tank was widely used by the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps throughout the Vietnam War. Distinguishing features of the "A2" variant included an improved power pack, an upgraded transmission, a redesigned rear plate and improved turret control.

Did you know ? In WWII, German tank drivers in Africa would drive tanks over camel poop for luck. Allies responded by burying land mines disguised as camel dung. Germans got wind of this and began riding over dung that was already overrun with tank tracks. In turn, Allies made mines that looked like overrun dung.
Tiger 213 and me, at "La Gleize", Belgium. This KönigsTiger was left behind after the gun was destroyed during the last stand of Kampfgruppe Peiper during the battle of the bulge.
