M26 Pershing
U.S. M26 Pershing (LIKE) vs German Nashorn (COMMENT) Nashorn from 2nd Company of schwere Heeres Panzer Jaeger Abteilung 93 was also responsible for the destruction of the only M26 Pershing, destroyed in Europe. Pershing from the 3rd Armored Division was knocked out at the distance of 250 meters with a single shot. This engagement took place in the town of Niehl, north of Cologne on March 6th of 1945. Armament: 7.5 cm StuK 40 L/48 with 54 rounds - Sturmgeschütz units claimed to have knocked out 20,000 tanks by 1944 ! Overall, Sturmgeschütz series assault guns proved very successful and served on all fronts as assault guns and tank destroyers. Although Tigers and Panthers have earned a greater notoriety, assault guns collectively destroyed more tanks.
