The A7V, the first WWI German tank, took the field in 1918.
Today is 100 Year Anniversary of Tanks! 100 years ago the first tanks rumbled into faltering action on the Somme at the start of a century in which they became one of the world's most effective weapons of war.
Sherman variants is a very complicated issue, in this case it is an M4A1 with 76mm cannon housed in the new tower t23, the hull is cast as the white stars have not been repainted, as was common practice but not always, saving the artistic license, we can say that is one of the first actions of this model, which arrived at the front after D-Day, dating action in July 1944. The houses also seem typical of Normandy. On the right a StuG III tank destroyers destroyed, perhaps victim of Sherman.
