Thank you to all of the men and women who serve in the United States Military and protect our independence. Your sacrifice to our country makes you a hero in my eyes. And while you are stationed around the world, I would also like to thank your families for their sacrifice and for sharing you with all of us. This Independence Day, don’t forget to thank those who serve for protecting our freedoms and allowing us to continue to live in the greatest country in the world.

RC tank show in the UK... (by Willem Hakkert)
A German artillery shell embedded in the armor of a Soviet KV-1 tank. It probably came from an early model Panzer IV, which mounted the Kampfwagenkanone 37 L/24 75mm tank gun, a low-velocity cannon mainly designed to fire high-explosive shells. The shell's profile matches the Panzergranate 39. It’s possible that the impact popped out the base fuse which stopped it from detonating. Note the ricochet mark from a prior hit just above it.
